This is an excellent opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join an independent electrical engineering group who deliver design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance and service solutions across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors.
You'll be joining a growing business unit specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced electronic equipment used to protect critical motors and generators. Their innovative technology enables customers to detect electrical faults before catastrophic failures occur. With increasing market demand, a successful new product launch and continued business growth, they are expanding their electronics manufacturing team.
Working as part of a collaborative engineering environment, you'll assemble, test and fault-find sophisticated electronic monitoring equipment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products while supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
Assembly Technician – The Role:
Assemble and manufacture condition monitoring equipment Build products incorporating PCB assemblies, LCD displays and electronic components. Assemble a range of products including standard, ATEX and portable monitoring units. Carry out testing, fault finding and repair of electronic monitoring equipment. Prepare documentation, traceability records and packaging for customer orders. Support quality control activities, investigate non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis. Contribute to continuous improvement across assembly processes and workshop operations. Promote a strong safety-first culture and maintain high standards within an ESD-controlled assembly environment. Assembly Technician – What We're Looking For:
Previous experience within an electronics manufacturing or electronics assembly environment. Strong hands-on electronics knowledge with experience of assembly, testing and fault finding. Experience assembling PCB-based electronic products and electronic equipment. Good troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing faults. Experience working to quality standards and production targets. Experience within an ESD-controlled (Electrostatic Discharge) manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline. Ideally a minimum of three years' experience within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment. Why Join?
