The Role
As an Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly and manufacture of high-quality equipment, ensuring products meet the highest standards of workmanship and performance.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in a similar assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical fitting environment and demonstrate strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble large electrical and mechanical components to specification.
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical documents, and assembly instructions.
* Use overhead cranes to safely move and position components and assemblies.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
* Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.
Working Hours
Rotating Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday):
Week 1
* Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Week 2
* Monday to Thursday: 12:30pm - 10:00pm

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in assembly, mechanical fitting, or manufacturing engineering.
* Experience operating overhead cranes (up to 120 tonnes preferred).
* Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering skills.
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* A strong focus on health and safety.
* A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
