Assembly Technician

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for an assembly technician to join a leading manufacturer based in Baildon.

The successful candidates will be required to produce precision components from working instructions. Due to the variety of parts in the role, all training will be on the job in stages to ensure you are competently trained in the role including works on presses, Sealing and assembly processes.

Interested candidates will have experience in an assembly based environment working to high quality standards and tight tolerances.

Hours 40 hours per week - Start and finish time flexible within 5:30am/8:30am start and 4:30pm/7:30pm finish.

The Role

* Carrying out assembly of products in line with standard operating procedures and relevant standards.

* Carrying out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements.

* Liaising with supervisors on quality issues arising from manufacturing.

* Ensuring that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and reporting any problems to Supervision immediately.

* Recommending and carrying out any improvements in line with the company’s continuous improvement program.

* Working at all time within Health and Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.

* Keeping accurate and up to date production records.

* Showing flexibility and working in other parts of the production areas as required.

* Experienced in an assembly based role

* Attention to detail and pride in quality of work

* Strong attention to detail and methodical in approach to work
