Our Midlands client is seeking experienced and motivated Social Workers to join our Assessment & Intervention Team, where you'll work with children and families at pivotal moments to ensure children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.

The Role
As a Social Worker within the Assessment & Intervention Team, you will:
*
Complete timely and high-quality assessments of children and families.
*
Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
*
Develop and implement effective child-focused plans to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
*
Build positive relationships with children, families, partner agencies, and professionals.
*
Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
*
Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for meetings and court proceedings where required.
*
Work collaboratively to achieve permanence and positive long-term outcomes for children.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for candidates who have:
*
Social Work England registration.
*
A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
*
Experience within Children's Services, ideally in Assessment, Safeguarding, or Front Door teams.
*
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
*
Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
*
A child-centred approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
*
3 years permanent experience in a Local Authority
