We’re Hiring: Asset & Configuration Manager

Location: Birmingham or Shoreham (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience

Join our team as an Asset & Configuration Manager and help us optimise how we manage the IT infrastructure for our Enterprise clients.

🔧 What You’ll Do:

• Define and build this capability from the ground up
• Own the lifecycle of IT assets—from procurement to disposal
• Maintain and manage the CMDB (ServiceNow)
• Ensure compliance with software licensing
• Collaborate across ITIL practices (Service Desk, Change, Problem Management)
• Provide reports and insights on asset utilisation and cost optimisation
• Identify automation opportunities for real-time tracking

✅ What You’ll Bring:

• Strong Understanding of ITIL (v4 preferred)
• Deep familiarity with the Service Configuration Management and IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices.
• Understanding of how CMDBs (Configuration Management Databases) support incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Practical Experience Establishing or Overhauling CMDB / IT Asset Management system.
• You can distinguish between CI (Configuration Item) types, relationships, and levels of control.
• Tooling Expertise: Experience with ServiceNow, or similar.
• Comfortable integrating asset/configuration tools with discovery systems, CI/CD pipelines, and ITSM tools.
