Asset Data & Valuation Project Lead

We are recruiting on behalf of a North London Council for an experienced Asset Data & Valuation Project Lead. This role is crucial for overseeing the development and management of the Council's asset register, ensuring accurate valuations and data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, fixed asset registers, and data systems like MRIQ or Consherto.

Asset Data & Valuation Project Lead

Day rate: Negiotable

Location: North London

Job Type: Hybrid (12 to 18 months contract)

Day-to-day of the role:

Lead a focused programme to repair, standardise, and future-proof the Council's fixed asset register.
Develop and implement a single source of truth for land and buildings, including all necessary details like UPRNs, addresses, tenure, and valuation bases.
Undertake detailed data discovery, cleansing, reconciliation, and evidence gathering for the asset register.
Define project scope, milestones, and success measures, ensuring alignment with statutory valuation timelines.
Collaborate closely with Finance and oversee the overview of assets to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Procure and implement a new database system for asset management.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in project management, particularly with fixed asset registers and data systems.
Knowledge of local authority accounting standards (CIPFA Code) and RICS Red Book valuation.
Experience with data governance, change delivery, and data systems such as MRIQ or Consherto.
Ability to manage complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
Strong planning and execution skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
