At National Grid, we keep people connected and society moving. But it’s so much more than that. National Grid supplies us with the environment to make it happen. As we generate momentum in the energy transition for all, we don’t plan on leaving any of our customers in the dark. So, join us as a Asset Risk Manager within our Asset Management team and find your superpower.
As our Asset Risk Manager, you'll lead the team responsible for identifying, assessing and managing asset and engineering risk across the network. Working closely with Engineering, Asset Management, Operations and wider business stakeholders, you'll turn complex asset condition, performance and network data into clear risk insights, helping the business understand where risk exists, how it's being controlled and where action is needed. Reporting to the Head of Asset Risk & Governance, you'll also drive the continuous improvement of our Asset Risk Management Framework and champion a proactive risk culture across the organisation.
We're looking for an experienced risk or asset management professional who combines strong technical understanding with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
You'll bring:
Experience within electricity transmission, utilities or major infrastructure sectors would be beneficial, as would familiarity with Safety Cases, ALARP assessments and regulatory submissions.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about safety, reliability and continuous improvement, helping us make informed decisions that protect our network and the customers who depend on it.
A competitive salary between £65,000 – £78,000 – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
