We're recruiting for an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join a well-established commercial removals and relocation company based in Surrey. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, lead a small team and ensure goods are stored, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently.

The Role

Working alongside the Warehouse Manager, you'll help oversee the daily warehouse operation, ensuring removals are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the day-to-day warehouse operation


• Liaising with coordinators regarding incoming and outgoing shipments


• Investigating any stock or paperwork discrepancies


• Allocating storage locations to prevent damage


• Loading and unloading company vehicles safely


• Driving company vehicles, including HGVs where required


• Completing warehouse paperwork accurately and on time


• Inducting and training new warehouse staff


• Maintaining warehouse housekeeping and health & safety standards


• Reporting any issues with incoming goods, labels or documentation

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within the removals industry


• Warehouse supervisory or management experience


• Valid Forklift Truck licence


• Good organisational and communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• A proactive and hands-on approach


• Full UK driving licence (HGV experience advantageous)
