Assistant Accountant

A well established Firm of Solicitors is looking to appoint a Assistant Accountant to join their Accounts Team. You will be responsible for:

• preparing monthly VAT returns
• preparing, processing and recording receipts and payments
• maintaining accounting and finance data in line with Solicitor accounting rules
• processing outgoing payments by cheque, BACs and CHAPs to strict deadlines
• assisting other members of the Team as required
• preparing accurate budgets & forecasts
• producing monthly management accounts

Those who have worked within a Firm of Solicitors would be at an advantage. This is full-time position, mainly working within the office, but one day at home maybe considered.
