Assistant Accountant

Exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a highly reputable business based in South Manchester. This role will offer a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Michael Page are working with a well established business going through a period of growth. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team at an exciting time for the company.

Description

Responsibilities include:

• Processing of purchase invoices
• Preparation of the monthly and ad-hoc supplier payments
• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Producing monthly and ad-hoc invoices as required
• Credit control duties as required
• External & internal queries
• Bank reconciliations & statement reconciliationis
• Direct Debit collections
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Completion of quarterly VAT returns

Profile

The candidate will have/be:

• ACCA/CIMA part qualified or QBE - Desirable
• Previous experience in a similar accountancy role - Required
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Required
• Comfortable dealing with internal & external stakeholders - Desirable
• High attention to detail and levels of accuracy - Required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Required
