Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Assistant Accountant. The role will be fundamental in supporting the Accounting & Finance department.

Description

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Conducting regular ledger maintenance
• Supporting the monthly and annual closing processes
• Analysing financial discrepancies and recommending appropriate resolutions
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Assisting with tax preparation
• Coordinating with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations
• Performing any ad hoc duties as assigned by management

Profile

The successful applicant:

• Ideally be studying towards a professional accounting qualification
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong problem-solving skills
