Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to from a shared service centre environment with experience handling and manipulating large data sets.

We are currently recruiting for a valued Reed client. The business is nationally recognised, successful and ever-growing! After a recent restructure, our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a candidate that is confident handling a high-volume workload and has a good understanding of management accounts terminologies from their studies or exposure from work. Previous experience assisting a Management Accountant would be ideal however our client is also open to experience in Transactional Accounts and a candidate that is eager to take the next step in their career!

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Support the Shared Services Accountants with analysis, providing support and documentation.
• Prepare monthly period-end processes and associated complex journals.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned areas in line with policy timelines.
• Support various accounting functions including intercompany, VAT, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets!

Ideally, You Will:

• Have experience working in either a shared service centre or a fast-paced and high volume environment.
• Be a confident user of Microsoft Excel, this role does entail working with and manipulating large data sets. Being able to used Look Ups, Pivot Tables and SUMIFs is a must!
• Be confident following your own initiative and be eager to learn from those around you!
• Be an inquisitive character that is constantly looking for ways to improve your skills and the processes that are in place!
