Assistant Accountant

As the Assistant Accountant, you'll be vital in supporting the Finance Manager in delivering an excellent financial service to the rest of the business.

We are looking for experienced Assistant Accountants/Finance Managers that have drive and a passion for learning, this role is fast paced, fun and will be a great role for anyone looking to progress their accounts career!

About the role
Based in the stunning office in Ulverston, you will be tasked with:

• Management of daily bank/cash reconciliation
• Assisting in ensuring financial controls & processes are adhered to across the business
• Accurate and timely inputting of sales orders & invoices into the finance system
• Processing sales order cancellations, write offs, reinstatements and refunds
• Month end tasks, prepayment, accruals, fixed assets management, depreciation, stock control, etc

About you
The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Preferably fully AAT qualified or working towards
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience working within a similar role
• Excellent attitude to learning

What's on offer

• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (may be negotiable for highly experienced candidate)
• Benefits: staff discounts, company pension, 28 days holiday, potential for study support
• Contract type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week
