Assistant Accountant

The One Group are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established group of companies with over 100 years experience in their sector. This role is available on a full time, permanent basis and based from their offices in March.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm & Fridays 7.30am-1pm

This role is a varied position where you'll take ownership of both day to day bookkeping and payroll functions as well as supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring key financial processes run seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts payable & accounts receivable
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
• Run weekly & monthly payrolls

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping/assistant accountant role
• Knowledge of Sage 50 payroll
