Assistant Accountant

KCR Solutions are delighted to be assisting our client, a manufacturing company based in the Sunderaldn areas in their search for an experienced Assistant Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Producing monthly reports figures and statistics using Microsoft office products.
• Supporting the Financial Controller in production of the end-to-end monthly management accounts.
• Production of monthly accruals, prepayments
• Journal preparation
• Fixed assest maintenance
• Variance and sales analysis
• Daily posting of the bank statements
• Liaise with third parties including banks, HMRC, auditors and other stakeholders
• Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT Returns
• Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers
• Weekly supplier payment runs through the bank
• 37.5 hour week / Office Based - potential hybrid working / 23 days hols + bank holidays

Person Specification

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role is essential
• AAT Level 4 qualification or working towards this qualification or currently studying CIMA / ACCA

• Ability to remain self-motivated
• Ability to manage competing priorities
