Assistant Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with an established, growing data-led services business based in Whiteley to help grow the Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with all areas of accounting within the company, you will report to the Head of Finance. Your main duties, which should be performed to the highest standards of accuracy, will include:

• Accounts Payable – processing multiple invoices and other payment instructions
• Accounts Receivable – raising invoices for payment by external parties
• Ledger Posting – recording daily bank transactions in the various ledgers of multiple entities
• Reconciliations – reconciling transactions/balances across multiple systems/counterparties
• Ad hoc queries – supporting inbound ad hoc requests and queries to the Finance Team

Skills

• Relevant work experience and/or academic qualifications
• Highly proficient or willing to learn Excel (ie. lookups/pivot tables/IF statements)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in accomplishment of routine tasks
• Highly structured approach to analysis, record keeping, and presentation of outputs
• Ability to work calmly and without supervision, and handle multiple work streams simultaneously and effectively
• A positive can-do attitude, strong collaboration and communication skills, and willing to make a difference
