Assistant Accountant

KCR Solutions are proud to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Gateshead to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This role is an exciting opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional looking to progress towards CIMA and grow within the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Extract and analyse financial data to aid planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, mid-year reviews, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support month-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls in line with company requirements.
• Assist with statutory reporting and taxation documentation.
• Provide accurate financial data and insights to management teams.
• Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, working closely with the finance team.

About You:

• AAT-qualified, with ambitions to pursue CIMA certification.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication skills to present financial insights.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to grow within a dynamic team environment.
