Assistant Accountant

FRS are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join a rapidly growing SME based between Erdington & Star City.

Suitable candidates will be experienced using Xero and either be an AAT studier OR hold relevant experience. You will be reporting into a Qualified Accountant & also working closely with the Managing Director - a really good chance to get stuck in at month-end & during audit for those looking to broaden their experience!

Duties Will Include

• Managing a variety of transactional finance duties including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, credit control, supporting month-end tasks & supporting credit control
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, sales invoices & account statements - ready to send out to customers
• Manage VAT returns & ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Conduct bank reconciliations, prepare cash flow & budget reports
• Perform credit checks for new buyers and suppliers
