What you'll do:
As an Accounts Assistant based in Trafford, you will become an integral member of a dedicated finance team focused on delivering excellence in every aspect of their work. Your day-to-day activities will involve supporting month-end processes through collaboration with colleagues, handling reconciliations for both bank accounts and credit cards, as well as managing daily order-to-cash reconciliations across various payment platforms. You will process invoices efficiently while keeping purchase orders aligned with supplier payments. In addition to these core duties, you will take on monthly ad-hoc responsibilities related to management accounts preparation-helping ensure that financial reporting remains accurate and timely. Your role will also see you engaging with suppliers to foster positive relationships, assisting with tax return preparations for both UK and international operations, providing essential administrative support for payroll each month, generating insightful ad-hoc reports when needed, and playing a vital part in the annual audit process. Success in this position comes from your ability to collaborate effectively within the team, maintain meticulous attention to detail across all tasks, communicate clearly with both internal stakeholders and external partners, and demonstrate reliability in meeting deadlines.
What you bring:
To excel as an Accounts Assistant in this role, you will bring proven experience gained from at least three years within a busy finance department. Your background should include exposure to key accounting functions such as reconciliations, invoice processing, payroll administration, tax compliance support, and audit preparation. An AAT qualification-or active progress towards one-will demonstrate your dedication to advancing your expertise in accountancy. Your interpersonal skills will be crucial as you collaborate closely with colleagues across the business.
