Assistant Accountant | Liverpool | £28,500 DOE + Study Support

Are you currently studying AAT, CIMA, or ACCA and looking for your next move within a dynamic finance team? We're working with a well-established, environmentally focused business within the renewable energy and sustainability sector that is seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their Liverpool-based operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any trainee accountants with 1-2 years experience who are keen to develop their skills in a growing business.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts with KPIs and supporting analysis.

• Completing variance analysis vs budgets and prior periods.

• Preparing reconciliations including bank, cash, and balance sheet.

• Producing accruals, prepayments, payroll analysis, and associated journals.

• Supporting with annual budgets, forecasts, internal audits, and year-end processes.

• Providing supporting information for taxation computations.

• Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Who we're looking for:

• Studying towards either AAT, CIMA or ACCA

• minimum of 1-2 years experience in a finance role

• Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial systems.

• Proactive, detail-orientated, and confident in communicating with colleagues at all levels.
