Job Description - Assistant Accountant

Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with an entrepreneurial business in the financial services to add an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Main duties:

Processing purchase invoices and staff expenses
Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records
Bank reconciliations and cash balance tracking
Assisting with monthly management accounts and year-end processes
Supporting accounts payable and receivable functions
Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting
Preparing financial reports for senior stakeholders
Supporting audit and compliance processes
General admin duties and finance-related queries

Essential:

Experience in a finance, treasury, or accounting support role
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Trustworthy and professional when handling confidential information
