Assistant Accountant

This is a growing business with proper plans, not pipe dreams. They need someone to support the finance function as things scale up, someone who doesn't shy away from numbers, deadlines, or a bit of responsibility.
You'll be working in a small team, reporting into a qualified accountant who'll give you the space to grow but won't leave you stranded. It's the kind of role where you'll actually learn, not just do the same thing every month and wonder why you're bored.

What you'll be doing:
??Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
??Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journals
??Reconciling balance sheet accounts (yes, they do need reconciling)
??Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
??Getting involved in VAT returns and other reporting tasks
??Generally keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes

What they're looking for:
??Experience in a finance role
??Ideally studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
??Confident with Excel and not fazed by a bit of complexity
??Someone with initiative, you won't be spoon-fed, but you will be supported
