Assistant Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to support the Finance department within the Automotive sector. The role involves assisting with financial processes and delivering accurate reports in a professional and timely manner.

Description

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions as needed.
• Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to external audits.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting & Finance team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within financial operations.

Profile

A successful candidate should have:

• A background in finance or accounting, ideally within the Motor Trade
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A relevant accounting qualification or study towards one
