This is an exciting Assistant Accountant opportunity within a PE backed Services company, ideal for an ACCA/CIMA studier. This permanent opportunity in Wakefield offers a chance to support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller, alongside the wider finance function.

Our client is a large, PE backed Services provider who operate across the UK and Ireland. They are experiencing continuous growth and now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant at their Wakefield office.

Description

As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the monthly production of management accounts including posting journals entries and producing accruals and prepayments
• Month and year end reports and analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the Management Accountant with budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with year end audit
• Ownership of the AP reconciliation process, identifying errors and implementing process improvement

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of Excel (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups)
• High attention to detail

Job Offer

• £30,000 - £32,000 + annual bonus + ACCA/CIMA study support + pension scheme + hybrid working + on site parking + flexible working hours
