Elevation Accountancy & Finance are thrilled to have partnered with a local business as they search for an Assistant Accountant to join their tight-knit finance team. You’ll be stepping into a well-run structure and working closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Manager, supporting them with key month-end duties including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and fixed assets, as well as assisting with forecasting, VAT returns, and providing project-level financial support across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
• Managing fixed assets and depreciation
• Assisting with payment runs and VAT returns
• Supporting month-end and forecasting
• Providing P&L support for small projects
• Liaising with the sales team for reporting
• General ledger maintenance and reconciliation

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified by Experience or studying AAT
• Strong experience with accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and VAT
• Confident using Sage (or similar ERP system)
• Able to work independently and hit the ground running
