Assistant Management Accountant - Hybrid Working

We’re excited to be supporting a Newcastle based organisation in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Management Accountant, playing a key role in month-end reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining financial accuracy across the ledgers.

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts

• Tracking and reconciling fixed assets and running accurate monthly depreciation postings

• Working with operations to monitor asset movements

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any variances

• Supporting both month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Maintaining the general ledger with a focus on accurate coding and data integrity

• Collaborating with transactional teams to resolve discrepancies

• Assisting in process improvement and documentation of internal controls

• Submitting ONS and CIS survey information

• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

The ideal person will have experience in the following:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles

• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with data

• High attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines

• Confident communicator and team player

• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a desire to learn
