Assistant Accountant

RG Consultancy are working with a well-established company who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. This is a brand-new exciting opportunity for someone who would like to progress within an accounts career and work for a supportive company. You will be supported by and report back to the Management Accountant.

The Role

• Support with all transaction aspects of the finance department including Purchase and Sales Ledger, credit control
• Bank reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting accruals and pre-payments
• Balance sheet and cashflow
• Support with budget and forecasting
• Assist with the year end preparation and audit preparations
• VAT Returns
• Oversea manage, support and develop a small team of finance assistants

The Person

• AAT Fully qualified would be beneficial
• At least 3 years' experience within a similar role
• Experience with MS Excel
• Desire to progress within a supportive business
