Description

Assistant Accountant responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management accounts
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Analyse financial data to assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure timely financial reporting
• Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• A strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
