Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a thriving and well-established organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their growing finance team based in Knutsford.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to support the finance team with month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone studying towards their AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification and looking to grow within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and accruals/prepayments.
• Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

What we're looking for

• A degree in finance/accounting, part qualified or actively studying AAT, CIMA (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to embrace change
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
