Description

The Assistant Accountant based in Reading will cover:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage client accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning.
• Support the team with audits and regulatory requirements.
• Provide recommendations to improve financial processes.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders effectively.
• A relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
• Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essential
