Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Coventry
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
We are proud to be partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking company seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is either studying towards or recently completed their AAT (or equivalent) and looking to further their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

• Bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting

• Supporting the accounts payable and receivable processes

• Maintaining the general ledger and journal entries

• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with tax submissions

• Liaising with external auditors and supporting year-end processes

• Ad hoc financial reporting and support to the Financial Controller

Skills & Requirements:

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance role

• Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
