Job Summary

Are you ready to dive into the world of finance with a role that’s as exciting as it is rewarding? We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our Accounting Department. Your main mission? To assist with VAT returns and CIS submissions, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Relationships

Internal: Collaborate with other members of the Accounting Department, various departments within the UK Centre of Excellence (CoE), the broader Finance community, and operational staff.

What you'll be doing

CIS Returns: Monthly calculation and submission.

VAT Returns: Prepare monthly VAT returns for UK, Irish, and Swiss registrations.

Quarterly VAT: Assist the Tax Accountant with quarterly VAT returns.

Balance Sheets: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Invoice Approval: Approve CIS invoices in Markview, calculating the labour/material split for Net Rated CIS registered subcontractors.

Payment Runs: Approve payment runs for CIS Registered Subcontractors.

Corporate Tax Packs: Assist with the preparation of annual corporate CT packs.

Legal Packs: Create and upload Legal Packs.

Ad Hoc Projects: Take on various other projects and tasks as needed.

Person Specification:

Technical and Professional Experience

• Qualifications - AAT Qualified or ACCA / CIMA Studier / PQ
• Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new computer systems
• Experience - Previous experience in an accounting environment.
• Knowledge - Familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
