Assistant Accountant

Goldhawk Associates are currently partnering with an exciting company in Maidstone. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing group with sites worldwide at a time of growth and development. This role reports directly into the Finance Manager working in a small highly skilled team.

Responsibility of the Assistant Accountant Role-
• Assist the Head of Finance with the month end close
• Work closely with accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Balance sheet review and reconciliation
• Assist with the monthly management accounts
• Assist with the year end
• Quarterly VAT returns

Requirement of the Assistant Accountant Role:-
• Ideally studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Good training and grounding in double entry bookkeeping
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Articulate and confident
• Perfect role for someone making a first move from practice
