Assistant Accountant

Main Duties:

As Assistant Accountant, your main duties include:

• Prepare and process accruals and prepayments in line with reporting deadlines
• Post journals as part of the month-end close process
• Produce daily cash flow reports to support management decision-making
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices
• Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment allocation, and customer account management
• Perform credit control duties to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize overdue debt
• Conduct daily cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers as part of ongoing ledger maintenance
• Carry out regular bank reconciliations to support financial accuracy
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial statements
• Support a variety of other month-end tasks to ensure a smooth and timely close
