On behalf of our established client in South Leicester, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Leicester. This is an ideal next step for a Trainee Accountant or Accounts Assistant looking to grow their career.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll support core finance functions including accounts payable, receivable, and banking, while also assisting with accounts production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse monthly departmental income statements, forecasts, and budgets
- Balance sheet and finance commission reconciliations
- Purchase ledger, sales ledger, and transactional accounting
- Expense claim and procurement analysis
- Ad hoc finance duties as required

What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year's experience in accounts payable or receivable
- Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Currently studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA
