Assistant Accountant

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £30,000-£34,000

A market-leading UK business with a strong and a well-established regional presence is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant in Wolverhampton. The company offers excellent career development and study support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a motivated and supportive finance team, working closely with experienced qualified accountants. You will gain broad exposure across management accounts, forecasting, reconciliations, and project reporting, while developing your skills in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Ideal for a part-qualified accountant (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) or finance graduate, this role offers study support, structured development, and clear progression opportunities.

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasting

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and journal postings

• Perform variance analysis on expenditure, and project performance

• Contribute to profitability reporting

• Gain exposure to large payment runs and financial controls

• Use COINS system for reporting and ledger management (training provided)

• AAT qualified, finance/business graduate, or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA

• Good understanding of accounting fundamentals

• Confident communicator, eager to learn and proactive in approach

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ambitious, curious, and driven to progress in a finance career
