Assistant Accountant

The One Group are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a respected business on the outskirts of Wisbech, which has grown healthily over recent years.

This opportunity would see you joining the business on a full time, permanent basis and would be fully office based and therefore your own transport is essential.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Processing and managing supplier and customer documentation, including invoice generation, purchase ledger reconciliation, and maintaining accurate records on finance systems
• Managing both sales and purchase ledger processes - from chasing remittances and old debts to reconciling statements and preparing payment lists
• Overseeing daily finance operations including bank, credit card, and cash processing, invoice financing, and wages journals
• Supporting the Finance Manager with month-end tasks, ledger reviews, payment terms, credit limits, and continuous process improvements
• Handling customer and supplier communication, recharge processes, and system setups to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely action

Requirements:

• Previous experience in either an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper position
• Ability to attend on-site 5 days per week
