Job Description - Assistant Accountant

We're working with a leading manufacturer in Gloucester, to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance function, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What will you be doing?

Supporting month-end & year-end close processes
Preparation of journals, accruals & prepayments
Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Assisting in Management Accounts production
Processing invoices, payments & expenses
Supporting budgeting & forecasting activities
Assisting with Audit requirements

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
AAT 3/4 qualified OR studying towards ACCA or CIMA
Strong attention to detail
Confident user of Excel and accounting systems
