Assistant Accountant

Your new company
I am currently representing an established organisation based in the Greater Belfast area. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their existing finance team. Having experienced rapid growth in recent years, both organically and through acquisitions, they are now looking for a skilled finance professional to work closely with the Finance Director in managing and developing the finance function.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for:
Full preparation of management accounts to TB stage, to include Journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet / creditor reconciliations.
Maintaining live and accurate Sage Line 50 data across all of P/L & Balance Sheet
Oversight / Review of overhead spending and Supplier charges
Assisting with the collation of Payroll information where required.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideal candidates should possess a degree in Accountancy/Finance or minimum IATA qualified with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar accountancy role. Applicants should be excel proficient with an ability to analyse data to make recommendations to the FD.
