Assistant Accountant - FMCG Hybrid (3 days in Oval office) £35k - £40k

This is not your typical number-crunching role - you’ll be at the heart of a fast-moving business that’s shaking up the personal care space. With products flying off the shelves across the UK and Europe, your focus will be on supporting the retail side of the business, ensuring smooth financial operations and playing a key role in process improvement.

What you'll be doing:

• Taking full ownership of the accounts receivable process - invoicing major retailers and making sure everything runs like clockwork.

• Leading on credit control: chasing outstanding payments, managing balances, and building strong retailer relationships.

• Partnering with operations to investigate and resolve invoice queries or disputes.

• Keeping the books clean - reconciling bank transactions and resolving discrepancies.

• Supporting the retail team with finance-related communications and requests.

• Assisting with month-end duties including balance sheet reconciliations.

• Spotting and implementing ways to make our processes smarter and more efficient.

What we’re looking for:

• Must have: Experience working with retailers in an FMCG, consumer goods, or similar product-based industry - this is essential.

• Solid accounts receivable background (1-2 years minimum).

• Comfortable taking ownership and running your own processes.

• Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally and manage external relationships.

• Experience with Xero and GSuite is a bonus.

• Studying towards AAT, CIMA, OR ACCA
