Assistant Accountant Immediate Start

Overview

We are working with a highly respected, and nationally recognised Wholesaler with a unique and interesting product specialism, based in north Birmingham. With continued organic growth and a rapidly expanding product base, the business is looking to strengthen its team. As a result, an opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to support their busy service charge accounting division.

This role will see you become part of a close-knit unit within the finance department, collaborating closely with a team of circa ten. Your focus will be on supporting the month-end process, handling reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, and balance sheets - so a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping is essential.

Skills needed

• Experience preparing accruals and prepayments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence when communicating with senior stakeholders across the business.
• A good working knowledge of Excel; full training will be provided on their internal systems.
• Progressive mindset, open to challenging and implementing new processes.
