Assistant Accounts Manager

TPF Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Eastbourne. We are supporting their search for a newly or nearly qualified Assistant Accounts Manager to join their dynamic and supportive team.

About the Role:

• As Assistant Accounts Manager, you will work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services. Your responsibilities will include:
  
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing mentorship
  
• Supporting the senior management team with client meetings and queries
  
• Managing day-to-day client relationships and ensuring deadlines are met
  
• Assisting with VAT returns, management accounts and corporation tax computations
  
• Identifying opportunities to add value to client services
  

About You:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or nearing qualification
  
• Practice experience is essential
  
• Strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation and tax
  
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
  
• Ambitious and keen to develop professionally within a growing firm
  
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members would be an advantage.
