We’re currently recruiting an Assistant to work within our Book-to-Screen department. In addition to supporting the agent in selling the film and television rights in our books, you will also assist them with their list of primary clients who are writers and creatives working across theatre, film and TV. This role would suit someone who has been an assistant before.
Responsibilities will include various aspects of talent management support in a busy office environment, including invoicing, the processing and logging of contracts, answering rights enquiries, diary management and maintaining the smooth running of the office.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, written and verbal skills and will need to be a strong organiser – confident, calm and collected, and able to multi-task effectively. You will also need to be a good communicator as our work is done on the phone, in writing, and in person. Attention to detail is a must, as is a can-do attitude and a willingness to continue to learn, alongside a passion for and good knowledge of books, film, television and theatre. This is a department that must tackle a lot of reading, of both scripts and books. Anyone joining the team will be expected to commit to the reading; this will mean reading outside of office hours.
