Job Description - Assistant Brewer

The Company:
We are pleased to be supporting a successful Brewery with their search for an Assistant Brewer to join their team.

The Role:
Joining a small team, the assistant brewer will play a pivotal role in the successful operation of the Brewery, helping to drive growth and success.

Some of the key responsibilities will be:

Cellar operations - Monitoring fermentations, dry hopping, fruiting, transferring beers and force carbonation
Packaging - Can, Keg, Mini Keg and Cask
Maintain records throughout the brew processes including gravities, temps and other key metrics,
Follow schedules and procedures to ensure quality control on raw material and production
Operate CIP procedures on Brewhouse & Tanks
Recording and documentation on the Brewery software
Attend and cover Brewery events when required

The Person:
We are looking for an Brewer with some experience, ideally within a commercial brewery, at the beginning of their journey with a passion for Brewing!

Some of the key attributes we are looking for are:

Genuine enthusiasm for the industry
Willingness and aptitude to grow and develop with the role
Excellent communication skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
Passion and commitment to creating the best products at the highest possible quality
Forklift truck licence would be useful
Qualification in brewing & distilling would be desirable
