About the Role
Are you a proactive, highly organised retail professional looking to take the next step in your buying career? We are seeking an Assistant Buyer to join a fast-paced Buying department.
In this key role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding data accuracy, driving critical path timelines, and keeping the core buying processes running seamlessly. Acting as a key bridge between suppliers and internal teams, you will lead weekly progress updates, manage compliance tracking, and gain excellent exposure to the commercial operations of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain the critical path from brief through to launch, leading weekly meetings with the wider Buying team to highlight risks and protect launch dates.
* Coordinate technical assessments, review certificates, and liaise directly with suppliers to resolve any identified compliance issues.
* Own the completeness and accuracy of product listings and website navigation to ensure all range data is up to date.
* Create and update SKUs, range plans, and core system data points.
* Liaise with suppliers for required order assets (packaging, manuals, labelling) and review inspection reports to mitigate shipment risks.
* Assist Buyers in preparing for trade shows and business trips by coordinating key data, documentation, and samples.
* Oversee the movement, organisation, tracking, and storage of samples at every stage.

* High attention to detail with a "right first time" mindset for data input and process integrity.
* Strong written and verbal skills, comfortable leading weekly updates and building productive relationships with suppliers, Merchandising, Marketing, and Technical teams.
* Energetic, resilient, and able to prioritize effectively within a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for product and trade with an eagerness to understand the broader business landscape.
