Job Description - Assistant Catering Manager

Assistant Catering Manager
Up to £28,500.00, dependent on experience
Permanent - 35 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays
Eastbourne

As our Assistant Catering Manager, you will assist the Catering Manager in leading the kitchen team. You will cook for our students and the wider academic community. You will assist our Catering Manager with a range of tasks, including creating varied menus, training the kitchen team, and ensuring compliance with all aspects of food and hygiene safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Food preparation and assisting with costing.
Assist with the management of stock, orders and inventory
Process orders in the absence of the Catering Manager
Team schedules and training alongside the Catering Manager
Always maintain compliance, Food Safety & Health & Safety

Essential Skills & Experience:

Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
NVQ L3 or equivalent in Catering & Hospitality
Ability to work under pressure
Comprehensive knowledge of COSHH and Food Safety Regulations
Available to work a range of shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings as required.
