We are looking for an Assistant Contract Surveyor to join our Commercial Team, working on a multi-phased private development where we are building 350 homes. Predominantly housing with some low rise apartments, traditional build.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in cash flow management and cost control, ensuring accurate reporting of costs and financial projections.
• Support procurement by preparing subcontractor orders and ensuring they align with programme requirements and project budgets.
• Collaborate with Production and Technical leads to identify risks and opportunities within designs and work packages.
• Contribute to subcontractor account management, including valuations, re-measurements, and timely payments.
• Produce detailed cost valuations, financial reports, and support the preparation of final accounts.
• Assist in value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in a relevant field.
• A solid understanding of cost control, procurement, and construction processes.
• Good knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety practices.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Main contractor experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
