Job Opportunity: Assistant CookOur Private Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Cook to join our team.

Key Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds equivalent (Level 3 preferred).
• Food Hygiene certification (Level 2 or above).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organizational and catering skills.

Responsibilities:

• Take full charge of kitchen operations during the Head Cook’s absence.
• Prepare nutritious and wholesome meals based on a structured menu plan for our 51 residents.
• Cook and serve breakfast, lunch, and tea, along with snacks, beverages, and home baking.
• Motivate and manage the kitchen team effectively.
• Ensure completion of paperwork and handle food ordering responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Full-time, Permanent position (37 hours per week).
• Hourly pay rate to be discussed at the interview stage.
