The Assistant Finance Manager will support the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting and finance activities. This permanent role is based in North Oxford with parking, and can be full time 37.5 hours, or part time 30 hours per week.

You will be supporting the Finance Manager with Management Accounts, Budgeting and Forecasting and supervising a small team of 2. Description

Assistant Finance Manager responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial efficiency.
• Oversee reconciliations and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Provide financial guidance to internal stakeholders and assist with decision-making.
• Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.
• Assist in year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare reports for senior management.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and securely.

Profile

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

• Professional qualifications or part-qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Proven experience in accounting and finance within a similar environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools, including spreadsheets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• A proactive approach with attention to detail and accuracy.
