Job Description - Assistant Financial Accountant

We’re working with a fast-growing, modern skincare brand that’s making waves in the beauty industry – and they’re looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their close-knit team on an initial 12-week contract, with the potential for a permanent role.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all areas of finance in a high-growth, product-led environment.

This is offered on a hybrid basis with 3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting US order processing and review
Managing accounts payable and weekly payment runs
Handling employee expenses
Preparing weekly KPIs with insights on product launches and promotions
Producing BDM dashboards and analysis
Assisting with payroll, annual PSA/Taxed Award Scheme and P11Ds
Managing commission and rebates for BDMs and affiliates
Supporting promotion forecasting and planning
Overseeing Amazon replenishment stock checks and order uploads
Building stock knowledge from product/SKU updates and marketing briefings
Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany
Preparing monthly KPIs and analytical reporting

Key skills:

Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
A genuine interest in the beauty or consumer goods industry is a plus!
